We want to share with you what makes us tick, what gives us the fuel to create and why we do it! We have 4 core brand values, which helps to guide us in our mission here at Gisel & the Fish.

Fun🌈

As a new mum I struggled to find cool, unisex styles for kids that didn’t have dinosaurs or unicorns on. And why so much beige?!? 🤢That is totes not our style. So you know what... if you can’t find what you are looking for - you need to create it yourself! And that is exactly what I did. I have designed the prints to be bold, fun and to stand out!!! Fun is at the heart of the designs - as we don’t take ourselves too seriously here at Gisel & the Fish! And of course, colour, colour and more colour!!!

Responsible ♻️

We care a lot about our world and know that the fashion industry is one of the biggest impacts on our planet. These kiddie winks get through a crazy amount of clothes! So when we were dreaming up a plan of action for Gisel & the Fish, we wanted to ensure we are using responsible manufacturing practices, using sustainable materials and leaving as little trace as possible. We are not perfect, but we are always learning and developing and trying our hardest to do better as a brand.

Honest💯

We think that it is important to be honest and upfront with our followers and customers to show them the value of our products. Sustainable, slow fashion can be the more expensive option, but if you get to see how things are made and learn the processes that go into the design you can see the value in it. I’ve said it before, I am slightly camera shy and don’t like to be the face of the brand. I am working on improving this as I know that it is important for you all to see more of what goes on. 😁

Creative 🎨

Creativity is good for the mind and soul!!! We are continuously looking at new ways to create, dreaming up new styles, new ranges and designs. As a brand we don’t want to churn out endless reams of styles because that isn’t the sustainable slow fashion way. However, we strive to create yearly print drops, and to broaden the current range. Our creative brain juices are currently in pure flow for the upcoming year!!!
